For GP’s Clear Thinking Mental Health Group is unique to Ballarat in providing treatment for people who experience mild to moderate mental illness and have barriers to accessing mainstream treatment options. Patients are able to access up to ten 45-minute sessions, following a GP referral, which includes a mental health treatment plan. Sessions are delivered by an allied mental health clinician in a cluster of five sessions, with up to a further five sessions available, following a GP review. |

Patients can be referred to Psychological Therapy Services via a new single point of entry — Western Victoria PHN’s Referral Point.
For Better Access to Mental Health (Medicare Scheme), GPs may refer people with an assessed mental disorder to allied mental health providers for treatment under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan. Clients can receive up to 10 sessions per calendar year delivered in a set of up to 6, then 4. We also provide services for WorkCover, TAC, Victims of Crime, and as Private Funded Sessions.
